How to fix the problem of Google Assistant something went wrong?

Google Assistant is a virtual assistant developed by Google that is available on a variety of devices, including rugged phones, smart speakers, and smart displays. It can be used to perform a variety of tasks, such as setting alarms, playing music, controlling smart home devices, and getting information. Users can turn on or turn off Google Assistant according to their needs. However, this virtual assistant isn't always work well on the devices (like Samsung and Pixel phones, Galaxy watch, etc.), sometimes, it will meet some issues.

How to fix Google Assistant not working on your device?


Once you met such an issue, don't worry, there are some ways to fix the issue.

  • Check your internet connection. Google Assistant needs an internet connection to work. Make sure that your device is connected to the internet and that the connection is strong.
  • Restart your device. Sometimes a simple restart can fix minor problems. To restart your device, press and hold the power button by following the instruction manual of different devices.
  • Check your microphone settings. Google Assistant needs to be able to hear you in order to work. Make sure that your microphone is turned on and that the volume is set to a reasonable level.
  • Clear the cache and data for the Google app. To do this, go to Settings > Apps > Google > Storage > Clear cache and Clear data.
  • Uninstall and reinstall the Google app. If the above steps don't work, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the Google app. To do this, go to Settings > Apps > See all apps > Google > Uninstall. Once the app is uninstalled, restart your device and then reinstall the app from the Google Play Store.
  • Reset Google Assistant. If you've tried all of the above steps and Google Assistant is still not working, you can try resetting it. To do this, go to Settings > Google Assistant > Reset Google Assistant. Once you've reset Google Assistant, you'll need to set it up again.

    Here are some additional tips to help you avoid the "Something went wrong" error:

    • Speak clearly and slowly when giving commands to Google Assistant.
    • Avoid using slang or profanity when giving commands to Google Assistant.
    • Make sure that your device is not in a noisy environment.
    • Update the Google app to the latest version.
    • Restart your device regularly.
