Can Google Assistant/Google Home make phone calls?
Yes, Google Assistant can be used to make a phone call on both your smartphone (including rugged smartphone) and smart speaker devices like Google Home.
On your phone: You can initiate calls using voice commands like "Hey Google, call [contact name]" or "Hey Google, call [business name]." For businesses, Google Assistant can even look up the number for you and then initiate the call.
On Smart Speakers: Similar to your phone, you can use voice commands to initiate calls. You'll need to have your smart speaker set up in the Google Home app first. With smart speakers, initiating calls might require an additional "Hey Google" before each command.
