Integrated graphics

No, not all laptops use integrated graphics. Laptops generally come with two types of graphics solutions: integrated graphics and dedicated (or discrete) graphics.

1. Integrated Graphics

Integrated graphics are built into the CPU and share memory (RAM) with the system. They are more power-efficient, less expensive, and suitable for everyday tasks like web browsing, office applications, and video streaming.

Most budget and ultrabook laptops rely on integrated graphics because they provide a balance between performance and energy efficiency.

Common integrated graphics solutions include Intel UHD/Intel Iris (for Intel processors) and AMD Radeon Vega (for AMD processors).

2. Dedicated Graphics

Dedicated or discrete graphics cards are separate from the CPU and have their own video memory (VRAM). These are found in gaming laptops, high-end workstations, and laptops designed for intensive tasks such as video editing, 3D rendering, and gaming.

Laptops with dedicated graphics often include NVIDIA GeForce or AMD Radeon series cards.

In summary, while many laptops use integrated graphics, those designed for performance tasks often feature dedicated graphics cards for enhanced visual performance.
