If your iPhone is frozen and won't turn off or reset, it can be a frustrating experience. However, there are several steps you can take to fix the problem and get your device back up and running. In this article, we'll explore some of the most effective solutions for dealing with a frozen iPhone, for your reference.

Fix iPhone frozen

1. Force Restart Your iPhone

The first step to take when your iPhone is frozen is to force restart it. This is a simple process that can often solve the problem and get your device back on track. Here's how to do it:

- For iPhone 8 or later (like iPhone 10 and iPhone 11): Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then, press and hold the Side button until you see the Apple logo.

- For iPhone 7 or 7 Plus: Press and hold both the Side button and Volume Down button for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

- For iPhone 6s or earlier: Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

2. Connect Your iPhone to a Computer

If force restarting your iPhone doesn't work, try connecting it to a computer using a USB cable. This will allow you to access your device through iTunes and perform a restore. Here's how to do it:

- Connect your iPhone to a computer using a USB cable.

- Open iTunes on your computer.

- If prompted, enter your passcode or choose "Trust This Computer."

- Select your device in iTunes.

- Click "Restore iPhone" in the Summary tab.

- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the restore process.

Note: Restoring your iPhone will erase all data and settings on your device, so be sure to back up your data before proceeding.

3. Use Recovery Mode

If force restarting and restoring your iPhone don't work, you may need to use recovery mode. This is a more advanced solution that involves putting your device into a special mode and restoring it using iTunes. Here's how to do it:

- Connect your iPhone to a computer using a USB cable.

- Open iTunes on your computer.

- If prompted, enter your passcode or choose "Trust This Computer."

- Force restart your iPhone while it's connected to the computer. For iPhone 8 or later, press and quickly release the Volume Up button, then press and quickly release the Volume Down button, then press and hold the Side button until the recovery mode screen appears.

For iPhone 7 or 7 Plus, press and hold both the Side button and Volume Down button until the recovery mode screen appears.

For iPhone 6s or earlier, press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button until the recovery mode screen appears.

- When you see the option to Restore or Update in iTunes, choose "Restore." This will erase all data and settings on your device and install the latest version of iOS.
