Welcome to Blackview (Well-known brand of military grade smartphone) blog. Hope this guide has been helpful.

In the previous guides, we've learned how to hide photos, hide apps, hide text messages, how to find invisible apps, and how to hide videos on Android, today, let's explore another related topic - Google Photos. Google Photos is a popular cloud-based photo storage and management service. While it offers convenient features for organizing and sharing your photos, you may have certain pictures that you prefer to keep private or hidden from others. In this guide, we will walk you through the steps to hide photos in Google Photos.

Google Photos

Method 1: Archive Photos

  • Open Google Photos: Launch the Google Photos app on your Android or iOS device, or access it through your web browser by visiting photos.google.com and signing in with your Google account.
  • Select Photos: Browse through your photo library and select the photos you want to hide. You can tap and hold on a photo to enter the selection mode, or use the checkboxes that appear on each photo to select multiple items.
  • Archive Photos: Once you have selected the desired photos, tap the three-dot menu icon (vertical ellipsis) in the top-right corner of the screen. From the menu that appears, choose "Archive." The selected photos will be moved to the Archive folder, which is hidden from the main photo view.
  • Access Archived Photos: To access your archived photos, tap the three-line menu icon (hamburger menu) in the top-left corner of the screen. From the menu, select "Archive." You will see all the photos you have archived.

Method 2: Hide Photos from Display

  • Open Google Photos: Launch the Google Photos app on your Android or iOS device, or access it through your web browser by visiting photos.google.com and signing in with your Google account.
  • Select Photos: Browse through your photo library and select the photos you want to hide from the main display. You can tap and hold on a photo to enter the selection mode or use the checkboxes that appear on each photo to select multiple items.
  • Move to a Hidden Folder: Once you have selected the desired photos, tap the three-dot menu icon (vertical ellipsis) in the top-right corner of the screen. From the menu that appears, choose "Move to." Create a new folder by tapping on the "+" icon, or select an existing folder that you want to move the photos to. Make sure the selected folder is not set to be visible in the main photo view.
  • Access Hidden Photos: To access your hidden photos, tap the three-line menu icon (hamburger menu) in the top-left corner of the screen. From the menu, select "Folders." You will find the hidden folder you created or the existing folder where you moved the photos. Tap on it to view the hidden photos.

It's important to note that hiding photos in Google Photos doesn't provide absolute security, while archiving photos in Google Photos can help hide them from the main photo view, they are still accessible in the Archive section. Additionally, archived photos will still appear in search results and can be shared or included in albums. If you want to protect your photos more securely, consider using a secure, password-protected gallery app or encrypting sensitive photos before storing them on your device or in the cloud.

By following these steps, you can effectively hide photos in Google Photos using the archive and hidden folder feature. Remember to regularly review your archived photos to ensure you don't accidentally overlook or forget about them.
