When did wireless reverse-charge technology appear in smartphone?
Welcome to Blackview (World's well-known brand of rugged smartphone) blog. Hope this guide has been helpful.
Reverse wireless charging technology, also known as wireless power sharing, made its debut in smartphones in 2019. The feature allows smartphones to wirelessly charge other compatible devices by placing them on the back of the phone.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro, released in October 2018, was one of the first smartphones to introduce wireless reverse charging capabilities. However, it wasn't until 2019 that this feature gained more attention and became more widely available in other smartphone models.
Following Huawei's lead, other smartphone manufacturers started incorporating wireless reverse charging technology into their flagship devices. For example, Samsung introduced the feature with the Galaxy S10 series in February 2019. Since then, several other smartphone brands have followed suit, including Apple with the iPhone 11 series, Xiaomi, and OnePlus, among others.
Wireless reverse charging offers users the convenience of sharing battery power wirelessly between devices, allowing them to charge compatible smartphones, smartwatches, or wireless earbuds simply by placing them on the back of their smartphone.
