5G Speed Test Reviews: 5G vs 4G Test on BL8800 & BL8800 Pro
Blackview always pursuing upgraded mobile service for its customer, has now jumped on the bandwagon of 5G, bringing BL8800 and BL8800 Pro, the first-ever 5G devices from Blackview of 2022.
But how are they different from their 4G siblings? To find out, we have carried out speed tests on the Blackview BL8800 and its 4G precursor BV8800. As for how much faster Blackview BL8800 (5G) is compared with BV8800 (4G), read as follows.

BL8800(5G) vs. BV8800(4G): Download and upload speed measured by Speedtest
In one of the tests, by using Speedtest, we observed Blackview BL8800(5G) scored 193Mbps download and 14.8Mbps upload speed while BV 8800(4 G) only achieved 46.3Mbps and 3.12Mbps respectively.
BL8800(5G) vs. BV8800(4G) : Download speed of Trials of Heroes: Idle RPG
While in another test, we measured the speed that both phones take to download Trials of Heroes: Idle RPG (98.77MB). We found it took BV8800(4G) 30 seconds to finish downloading, while it took only 11 seconds for Blackview BL8800(5G) to manage the same task, almost 3 times faster than the former.
BL8800(5G) vs. BV8800(4G): Download speed of a Netflix video
Apart from that, in the test of video download speed, Blackview BL8800(5 G) only spent 26 seconds in downloading a 225MB video on Netflix, while BV8800(4 G) is more than 2 times slower than the former.
By the way, since Blackview BL8800 Pro shares the same 5G chipset as BL8800, its speed performance should be no different from its non-pro iteration.
The three tests have shown that, with 5G technology, Blackview BL8800 and BL8800 Pro are able to be streets ahead of its 4G iteration, facilitating outdoor gaming experiences, social network-browsing or navigating with less frustration while using the smartphone. Especially for businessmen who are often on their business trips, BL8800 and BL8800 Pro with 5G technology add more efficiency to their work process whether they are in a cafe, a train, an airplane or a boat where Wifi-connection is often lacking while 4G connection cannot hit the spot.
The reason for the speed gap can be attributed to Blackview BL880 and BL8800 Pro’s 5G new technologies, including more advanced radio frequencies, more mature spectrum sharing carriers and better bandwidth block sizes. 4G can currently reach top speeds of up to 100 Mbps, though real-world performance is generally no more than 35 Mbps. However, 5G has the potential to be 100 times faster than 4G, with a top theoretical speed around 20 Gbps and current real-world speeds from 50 Mbps to 3 Gbps.
In Blackview BL8800 (5G) and BL8800 Pro (5G), not only is data sent and received faster, but also the whole process is more reliable too. Compared with BV8800 (4G), the latency of BL8800 and BL8800 Pro, on paper, will be under 10 milliseconds, almost three times lower than its former iteration and faster than human visual processing, meaning more fluency and improved responsiveness particularly in big-title games and ultra-demanding work scenarios. With improvements in 5G wireless technology, BL8800(specs) and BL8800 Pro(specs) will provide hyperfast speed and virtually get rid of all lag, enabling you to game with friends in real-time even if you are miles apart from each other.

And as there is a growing demand for securely viewing HD or ultra-clear premium video on streaming media like Netflix or Disney+, Blackview BL8800 and BL8800 Pro’s 5G makes it possible anywhere and brings HD visual enjoyment to the next level since 5G connection promise to meet the requirement for playing an HD video fluently while 4G would find it difficult to keep up.
With so much discussed, it is clear to see that 5G technology is the future trend and revolution and Blackview BL8800 and BL8800 Pro’s 5G provides a budget chance to join the revolutionary fleet, let you enjoy all the bells and whistles of 5G technology.
