Smart TV

Yes, smart TVs do emit radiation, but it's generally harmless.

The type of radiation emitted by smart TVs is non-ionizing, meaning it doesn't carry enough energy to damage DNA. This is different from the harmful ionizing radiation found in X-rays or nuclear sources.

Most of the radiation from smart TVs comes in the form of electromagnetic fields (EMFs), which are also emitted by other electronic devices. While EMFs can be detected, the levels emitted by modern TVs are typically very low and well below safety standards set by regulatory bodies.

It's important to distinguish between older and newer TV models. Older CRT TVs emitted more radiation, but these are now largely obsolete. Modern LED and OLED TVs produce significantly less radiation.

In conclusion, while smart TVs do emit some radiation, there's no need for undue concern. The levels are generally considered safe for human health.
