Can you send money between Google Pay and Apple Pay?
Welcome to Blackview (The famous manufacturer of outdoor rugged tablet) blog. Hope the guide has been helpful.
Unfortunately, you cannot directly send money from Google Pay to Apple Pay. Both Google Pay and Apple Pay are closed-loop systems, meaning they operate independently and are not compatible with each other. However, there are a few workarounds you can use to transfer money between these two platforms:
1. Transfer through your bank account: This is the most common and straightforward method. Here's how it works:
- Transfer money from Google Pay to your bank account: Open the Google Pay app, select the amount you want to transfer, and choose your bank account as the destination. This process is usually instant or might take a few minutes depending on your bank.
- Transfer money from your bank account to Apple Pay: Open the Apple Pay app, select the "Add Money" option, and choose your bank account as the source. The money should be credited to your Apple Pay wallet instantly.
2. Use a third-party payment app: Popular options like Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, or Zelle can be used to transfer money between different mobile wallets, including Google Pay and Apple Pay. Simply link your accounts to the chosen app and initiate the transfer.
3. P2P platforms: Google Pay Send (available in select countries) allows users to send and receive money using phone numbers or email addresses. Similarly, Samsung Pay Cash (available in select countries) offers a similar service for Samsung users. If both parties have accounts on these platforms, they can easily transfer money between them.
4. Gift cards: You can purchase digital gift cards for various retailers from within the Google Pay app and send them to the recipient's email address or phone number. This is a convenient option if you simply want to give someone a gift without needing to transfer actual cash.
5. Contact the recipient directly: You can always reach out to the recipient and discuss alternative methods for transferring money, such as splitting a bill at a restaurant, paying them back in person, or using a cash payment app like Square Cash or Facebook Messenger Payments.
When choosing the best method, consider factors like convenience, speed, fees involved, and the available payment options for both you and the recipient.
